Originally from Atlanta, GA, I have a soft spot for southern cuisine and magnolia trees. But these days, my heart is in Boston, MA. It's the place that shaped me into who I am today, and if I can, I hope to stay well into the future. My colleagues inspire me every day, and I consider myself extraordinarily lucky to be exactly where I am.
My current goal in life is to re-develop my math skills and pursue an academic credential in Computer Science. I love programming, and want to be a stronger algorithmic thinker, but it's been 10 years since my last math class, and jumping back in has been tricky. I'm slowly working my way through GRE math, and hope to be ready to apply to programs sometime in 2024.
In my free time, I enjoy creating tuning mods and tutorials for The Sims 4, spending sunny days at the beach, and drinking copious amounts of Trader Joe's Jalepeno Limeade. I also know way too much about D&D for someone who has never played it, and occasionally partake in yoga.
I care a lot about finding new and creative ways to heal the world with technology, and hope to still be doing so many years from now.
But that's enough rambling for now.
As a side note: I'm always happy to chat with coding students/professionals from non-traditional academic backgrounds, or anyone interested in collaborating on things that might interest me. Can't promise to have time for everything, but I do try my best, so feel free to reach out on LinkedIn.
